So far these results demonstrate the unhappiness of the citizens of this country. I believe the majority of Trump voters are not supporters, rather they are people who are tired of the same old. They wanted a change. Change is scary, but our government has a system of checks and balances. I don't believe there's a need for hysteria and panic attacks. At least at this point.

We should be afraid. VERY afraid.

I agree and quite frankly I recall the same thing being said 8 years ago.

I agree! We should be very afraid. He is going to be able to nominate to the supreme court and that alone should scare the shit out of us.

Why? Because Trump's the projected winner? I'm not jumping to conclusions about the power he will have. We have a system of checks and balances in our government. We are a democracy. This is what makes our country great. I don't agree with many of his policies or ideals, but that doesn't mean I need to fear them.

He will have the same power HRC would've had. No difference.

They got the house, are likely getting the senate, and will therefore also get scotus. So not quite the same as if she won.

I totally see where you're coming from, but when you make statements like "I should be nervous", you're implying that your opinion of who should be a scouts appointment is king and therefore my opinions don't matter. You really can't make a statement like that without you implying that your ideals are more important than someone else. I'm not sure if I'm articulating my thoughts clearly at 12:30 am. It's been a long night.

I believe Trump was a lot talk. Let's see what truly happens if/when he makes it into office.

There's no denying that this election speaks volumes about the anti-establishment movement.

Personally, I'm afraid for what this will do to our world reputation and international relations. I'm afraid this will give terrorists further fuel to hate us. And yes, if Republicans have control of both House and Senate, plus the president then it's not good. I just hope he'll have some good advisors that will keep him in check.

Has this election cycle not shown you the type of man he is???? If by now you can't see why a Trump presidency is frightening there is no convincing you at this point . I dread the coming 4 years, it won't be pretty.

I read something about Nasdaq no longer trading and monetary values dropping. This will have serious worldwide affects.

This is what I'm afraid of. I'm overseas and I felt much safer when Obama was President than when W was President. I'm f*cking terrified. I've had to deal with enough anti-American sentiments, but it was A LOT better when Obama was President.

I just can't believe it. I've spent close to 2 years discussing this election in my work. I just don't know what to do. I'm up for becoming a German citizen next year. I'm seriously considering it.

And the House?!?

1928 was last time Republicans had the White House, the House and the Senate.

The Great Depression was in 1929.

Trump just won Ohio. Ohio has picked the winner 13 elections in a row.
Everyone thought Hillary was such a shoe in. This is getting very interesting. This speaks VOLUMES about how the media reports vs. Truth.

YES!!!!!!

Didn't realize this was a sporting event and we yell YES!!!!1111

This is the America they wanted, so have at it. I'm sure they're proud. Let's see how great it is in 4 years... or rather what's left of it. My only hope is someone schools the new "president" on US government 101 for the next 2 months

God help us all.

Fingers crossed Trump and his backwards VP get hit by a bus. It's the only hope we have now of saving this nation.
