Do you tip someone doing your hair in their home?
I'm getting my hair hilighted by someone who works in a salon, but is doing it from her home. Do I tip her on top of what she charges me?

I think this can go either way. My hair girl does my hair in her basement all the time and I tip her.
My mom and my grandma get their hair done by her too and they don't.

Same here. My mom and I go to the same woman, who works out of her house. I tip (though not usually 20%). My mom doesn't. I think different generations have different views on this.

No, they are getting all the money from whatever they charge you. They don't have to kick back to the salon.

I would tip no matter what- especially if I love the service. It's not like she pockets all the money to herself. She still has to replenish products, replace equipment, wash towels, and use electricity.
No matter if a person owns a company or works out of their home, it still cost money to run a business.

ita. my girl left the salon she worked at and made a salon in her house. i still tip her.
