Do you turn the swing off if your baby falls asleep in the swing?
1m DS falls asleep in the swing often. Whenever I turn it off, he seems to wake up.
Is it bad to keep him swinging for a long time?
Do you keep your swing swinging when your DC falls asleep in it?

IMO, first 3 months, they need to feel like they are still in the utero, and anything you do to help will not spoil them. Keep it swinging.
By 2.5m I was starting to slow it down, or turn it off, trying to wean him off it, and by 3m he was sleeping in his crib for 2 times a day for 2 hours each, and 11 hours in the crib at night.
I did other things to sleep train, by from what I saw, it seemed like nothing that I did to him before 2.5-3m spoiled him one little bit.

Yes, I keep it going because like you said, she wakes up if I shut it off (DD is 3 wks.). I don't see any harm in it. I keep it on it's lowest speed. I remember DS (now 3) falling asleep in there a few times and from sheer exhaustion I also fell asleep and like 2 hrs. later he was still swinging away! I was so nervous at first that it was a bad thing but no harm done! I think they find it comforting.

That is what I am doing as well.
My dad took older DS to the Children's Museum this morning so I can have a break...if watching 1 child is a break.

I either keep it on or transfer him to his crib.

I turn it off once DD falls asleep and usually she stays asleep at that point. Sometimes I'll transfer her to her PnP at that point but it's risky that she'll wake up. I don't like the idea of her swinging for extended periods of time.

If it's a nap then I don't but if it's going to bed for the night, I turn it off and then transfer him to his bed after a bit.
