My dermatologist just put me on Tazorac and my skin looks great! My only concern is how dry it is.

Anyone else use anything? Does it help?

I used Retin A for awhile, but it's really drying so I don't like using it in the winter. I recently started using Differin which is less drying, but I had to stop bc I am pregnant.

The ONLY thing that worked for me...and I tried just about everything...was Accutane. I've been acne free for 5 years now....and I had it bad.Chat Icon

Ive been breaking out like crazy and am considering seeing a dermatologist.

How bad does your acne/pimples need to be before they give you a presecription?

No creams or treatments are working topically

They will start you on more powerful, prescription-strength topicals and maybe an oral antibiotic even if it isn't horrible.

I was on Duac and Klaron (both topical) prescribed by a doctor, and both are excellent.
