Do you use cornstarch baby powder on your baby/toddler?

Do you use cornstarch baby powder on your baby/toddler?
I never used baby powder on Thomas as a baby because I read it wasn't good for baby. They could inhale the powder.
Is it safe to use (talc-free) cornstarch baby powder on a toddler? I know talc is supposed to be bad, but is there still a danger of inhaling powder?

i just used baby power...but only at night to protect his bottom against an all night wet diaper.

We use baby cornstarch whenever I notice DS's inner thighs getting a little red. He's sweating a lot more since the weather is warming up.
