i prefer public restrooms to walking around in urine all day.

The only time I ever did was when I was preggo - and that is because when you are preggo - you can NOT hold it in

only if I have no choice. I have a bladder the size of a quarter so if I am out of the house for more than a few hours, I have no choice.

Abso-freakin-lutely!
After driving cross country a couple of times, I got over the gross out factor of public restrooms pretty quick.

I can't hold it to save my life... So, of course I do...
I make sure I know the quickest route to the bathroom in all the stores I go to...
That gave me great thing muscles, because I can squat like nobody's business!!!

Do you have "regular" places when you know you will be out? Like in the city, I try to use a hotel or a university. Around LI, I shoot for a Barnes & Noble or a Borders.
