Do you use store brand infant formula?

Today i was in Target and i was buying Similac formula for DD b/c she is doing some formula some breastmilk now. I noticed that the price for the Target brand is much cheaper. However, I am not sure if it contains the same contacts as Similac.

Does anyone use the store brand and do you notice any difference at all in DC?

yes I used Target and Walmart brand...

It was fine for a month or so really. No diff at all.

Then she got constipated a little.. nothing too bad or painful.. just her poop wasnt as mushy or watery. I thought it was normal. then I got a few name brand cans again (free) and her poop was back to mushy/soft so I stuck with name brand.

haven't tried it, but I talked to the pediatrician. He said its the same stuff basically, enfamil and similac are more expensive because of the amount of marketing they do and all the free samples they give out. If you look on the back of the target brand they have a comparison of the nutrients in it vs. enfamil and similac.

i use the target brand that is the same as the enfamil gentlease, and next i am going to try the BJs brand that is comparable to enfamil lipil.

DH has no issues with the target brand and i compared ingredients, they seem to be basically the same.

I used store brand without issue. Label for label, exact same thing.

once we use up our BRU gift cards, we'll switch over to the store brand formula.

I used Walmart brand with DS. My DH did a a comparison before he was born...

I was comparing price vs. ounce because I wanted to use Target brand. I also have a bj's membership and use similac. If I go with the 5 dollar check, it is the exact same price per ounce as the generic one from target. Target's is 16.99 for 23.2 oz. and Bj's is 27.99 - 5 =22.99 for 34 oz. I decided to just buy formula at BJ's until my checks run out. I also have sent checks to my mother and brothers house so I am sure to have enough!

Yup! I use Target and Sam's Club brabds. So much cheaper than the brand name. I checked with my dr first and he told me that all formula is approved by the FDA so its all the same stuff. Also, I find that the generic brand disolve better (powdered type). I think the brand name ones are clumpy which means more shaking....which means more air bubbles and gas.

I used targets version of similac sensitive. We had no issues.
