Do you wake DC to bring them to daycare?
I'm returning to work next wk so I'm trying to figure out how this will work. Ryan woke up around 6 when DH was leaving for work. He seems to do this a lot but can be fed and go back down for another couple hours - or at least an hour and a half. If I feed him at 6AM and get him back in his crib by 6:30, that leaves me a hour to pull myself together (which is more than enough time for me to pump and throw on clothes). I need to leave the house with him by 7:45AM latest. Should I be waking him at 7:30 to change and dress him? I'm assuming he'll be miserable when I do this. How do you handle this? (He's just going to my mom's twice a wk for the summer but I'd like to start situating ourselves for the fall when he goes to real daycare3-4 times a wk depending on DH's schedule).

Jacob started daycare at almost 4 months and from the beginning, I would wake him up at about 6:15 to get him ready to laeve at 7:00. He would nap in the car. I have been waking up at 5:15 to get myself ready.

When I was on maternity leave, DS would wake up about 6:00 am have a bottle and then go back to sleep.
At 5 months when he started daycare he would get up between 6-7 am..I gave him a bottle...got him dressed for daycare and then got myself ready.
He started to nap later in the morning after that

I wake him up if he's still sleeping when it's time to get ready for "school". Lately, he wakes up like clockwork around 6 a.m. I have to get him ready between 6 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. I wake at 5:30 a.m. to shower.

Re: Do you wake DC to bring them to daycare?
I take Athan to my mom who watches him for us full time everyday. He goes to sleep at around 10:00 pm and sleeps all the way through until he starts fussing for a bottle at around 5:30 am. He drinks 4 ounces in about 10 minutes - eyes shut, still "asleep"- and I let him sleep till about 6:45 am when I get him up to put him in the car seat. Majority of the days he is still asleep when I pick him up and buckle him in. He is such a good baby in the morning - knock on wood he has never cried from being woken up. He just kinda looks around with a glazed little look wondering how he ended up in his car seat. And he always goes back to sleep once we are in the car.

Parker used to go back to sleep for a couple of hours also at about 3-4 months old. BUt once I started working, and he got a little older he wakes up between 6:6:30 and has a bottle while I get ready. I get him ready, and he will usually nap in the car on the way to day care.
