you took a different path in life, how would your life be? better, worse, the same?

I think about his a lot since I had so many plans...but I am happy now. Married w/ a child and little by little all things fall into place!!

I don't know if my life would be better or worse...but I like it just fine!

I try not to wonder...there would be too many what ifs.
I am so happy with my life right now and that's what really matters

yes...my father passed away when I was 10 years old...if he was still alive my life would be 100% different (not for the best or worst) just different...
I probably would not be marrying FH, I would not be working or living where I am, I would not have the friends that I have in my life, my family would have been more finacially secure, etc...but I wouldn't change any of it...its the way my life is suppose to go...

I just had this conversation last night at a work function.
We were having some wine with some clients that were in town when one asked me how I made my way down to Florida? When I told him I followed my boyfriend, who later became my husband. He congradulated me and then said, ever wonder if you would be married had you stayed in NY.
Got me thinking for a little bit.

I definitely wonder. I had sooooo many paths & maps in front of me, that I winged it the entire time. One small move in my life, could have resulted in many different things in my life. But, I don't regret my decisions. I'm happy with my life, and try not to dwell on what-if's. It's funny, but the 'what-ifs' always end up being really good in our head's, huh? Who's to say that things could have been horrible or tragic any other way than our right path?

Tania, I was just thinking about that kind of stuff. I wonder about the different roads I could have taken, but I am really happy with the choices I made.

Yes. I wonder that about a lot of things..where I live, my job, etc.

I think about it all the tiem. I was supposed to go away for college for a different major. I always wonder what would have happened.
I have no regrets of the path I chose and where I am now

I sometimes wonder, but ultimately know that im in the best place I could be right now and with the right person!

Its always fun to fantasize about where different paths would of took you - but i can't necessarily say that i would be in a better position that i am now.

i do think about it sometimes...but if I hadn't taken the road I did, I would not have met my husband and that has made all the difference...

SO weird, I was just thinking about this today when someone was talking to me about Boston. It reminded me of when I was applying for law schools, and was considering going to law school in Boston or D.C. I ended up staying in Philadelphia, mostly because of a relationship I was in at the time (that was absolutely HORRIBLE and abusive on every level). I was thinking whether or not I regret not pursuing my degree at a better school because of some schmuck I'm no longer with, but in the end, I realized, I have no regrets. Everything happens for a reason... if I hadn't gone where I went, I wouldn't be at my present job (which I absolutely LOVE) and I would have never met my DH, who ended up moving to Philadelphia a year before I met him. If I was in DC or Boston, god knows where I'd be working, and who I would be with, and whether or not I'd even be married!

It is weird. I think DH and I were destined to be together. So many links to it. That even if I would have chose a different path, we would have ended up together.

I am glad I was such an undecided student, because I have a great admin assistant job now. Lots of perks and benefits.

I wish DH's path had not included credit cards when we were 18. That was a major set back.
