Do you write thank you notes from you or DC?
I need to start writing thank you notes for the gifts I received since DS2 was born. Quite a few of the people also bought big brother gifts. It seems a little strange to me to write a thank you note from my newborn's perspective, but I've seen people do that.
When you receive a baby gift or gift for a young child, who do you write thank you notes from? Would you answer differently if you planned to use personalized stationery with DC's name on it?

I do from myself because that is just my personality. To me writing from my child seems awkward. I have definitely seen it both was though. I would say whatever you are more comfortable with.

DS 1 I did from myself and sign DH and myself. DS 2 I did from him b.c it was cute and easy to write that his big brother also loves.. such and such to play with or entertain me. Especially since it was when he was an infant.
Them I just write his name at the end and not me and DH. Not that it saves much room.

I am writing the thank you notes for DD's baby gifts from her. They are fun to write and people have been enjying receiving them.

I got note cards with DS pic and name on top and wrote the thank you note from him for close friends and family. For people who we weren't as close with, parent's friend's, we wrote it from us.
They are cute and fun to write

This is what I do. I always felt strange writing from my kid's perspective.

If the gift is for my DC, I write the Thank You from them. DS signs his name, I sign DDs name.

same here. With both my kids I did it from myself because it just didn't seem right from them. There is no right way so do whatever you feel comfortable with

For new born baby gifts, I wrote them from all 3 of us. For birthday gifts, I wrote them from her.

For gifts when she was born I would sign it from all three of us- Me, DH and her.
"Thank you so much for the adorable outfit for DD and for thinking of us at this special time"
For birthday gifts it comes from her and is written from her perspecptive.
"Thank you for coming to my party and for the great gift."
Something along those lines

For smaller things and kiddie parties I write/sign from the kids.
For big events and large gifts I write/sign from us as a family

I honestly don't understand the point of getting a note from a one-year-old that says, "Thank you for my gift." Obviously she didn't write it, or dictate it, or... even think it. So since it's the parents who appreciate my generosity, shouldn't the parents write the letter?
I get that it's supposed to be cute, but I guess it's just too "cutesy" for me.

Same here. I'm definitely not the cutesy sort. 
However, once my girls could write their own names, I wrote out the wording for them--in their voice--and they signed it.

I write out the thank you expressing our gratitude for the gift and their thoughtfulness. I usually try to write something like "J will love playing with xxx".
I sign all of our names at the bottom.
