doctor appointments

I saw this doctor this past Tuesday (at almost 34.5 weeks). They don't want me back until 9/6 which will be almost 37 weeks for my strep b test. Shouldn't I be seen before this?

Lets see I think at 30 weeks I started seeing my doctor every 2 weeks. The last time I saw my doctor I was 34 weeks and I will see her next week at 36 weeks for the Strep B test. After this my next appointment I will be seeing my doctor every week.

After your next appointment will you be seeing the doctor every week? If you are concerned about the appointment date I would call and make it a little earlier, or call and ask your doctor about it. I am sure the doctor has her reasons for scheduling it at this time. It is just so easy to get nervous at this point in our pregnancies. I know how you feel. I also want to make sure that I am doing everyhthing correctly these last few weeks.

No that's just about 2 weeks later, a few days more which really isn't a big deal. The strep B is usually done at 36-37 weeks so it sounds right on track to me.

I would think they would want to see you at 36 wks, but I guess they see it differently.

Nah - they do the strep B test between 36 and 37 weeks. I wouldn't worry about it.

However, I'm pretty sure which doctor you're talking about.........not a fan as you know. We've spoken about it before.

Thank you for the responses. I am having so much lower back pain that I am starting to wonder if anything is going on yet. I guess I will wait it out and see if it goes away, and not call for another appointment.
