Doctor Recommendations (Swine Flu)
The swine flu topics, I know, has become very repetitive however I think it is important especially since a lot of us are on the fence.
The reason I am on the fence is not only that it is a new vaccine but also b/c my OB is HIGHLY recommending it. However, I see that there are a lot of other OB/Doctor's HIGHLY against it.
So I wanted to do a poll. To me it seems like more are against it then for it and that is very scary.

I was just talking about this with a couple of infectious disease specialist and my cousin who is a epidemiologist and they are appalled at these doctors and feel that it so sad that the doctors have not educated themselves on ths subject - their opinion, not mine!!! Someone on the board last week said that her dr. didn't recommend it b/c of the mercury, but you can get a thimerosal-free vaccine - might be alot harder to find, but it is out there.

It's funny - my friend was saying something similar. She asked her dr. and her dr. recommended it. Then she asked her dr. if she would be administering the shots and the dr. told her no, because they are too new.

I am glad you posted this poll since I (like many others) are still on the fence.
My gut is telling me not to get it but my OB, my RE and my son's pediatrician are all highly recommending it as well as my MIL who is a nurse. I am just so torn.

Looks like the majority of Dr. are recommending it from the poll.
