Doctor's Update - no new news
I'm almost 39 weeks.
Went to the doctor this morning. I'm STILL at 2 cm. The baby's head is still very low.
I'm still in the "could be today, could be in two weeks" limbo.
I go back next Thursday and the doctor said if I'm still the same we'd talk about induction possibilities.
I'm torn - I feel pretty good, so I'm not really upset, but I'm home from work now, so I'm feeling more ready to move to the next step.

The good thing is you are feeling good, baby is position, and you are somewhat dilated. Could be today, could be next week -- but try to enjoy this time now.!!
Personally I am agains induction unless there is a medical need for it -- baby knows better than we do!! But you didn't ask for my opinion, did you? Ah well, you knew I'd give it!!

Im against induction too, hence the labor vibes! Its time , and maybe Im just pushing to make SURE you go first

I agree, I don't want to be induced either.
The practice I go to doesn't like to let you go too far past your due date (max two days) so I'm going to have to start my own methods of trying to speed things up.
Walking, spicy foods. Maybe even (gasp) SEX!!!

Do you have the Eggplant Parm recipe?
That is supposed to help! I didn't do it and I was 5 days late. Maybe it will work for you!
I don't agree in induction either so sending lots of labor vibes@
I got my eyebrows waxed the afternoon I went into labor..maybe you can try that!

Nipple stimulation, sex, pedicure, massage the point between your thumb and pointer, massage on your ankles and calves....these are all things I read about and/or was told by the birthing instructor.... DH is hoping we are a little late

OMG, that sounds like you got that info from a kama sutra book!
I've heard spicy foods for sure, walks and the dreaded S E X!!
