Re: Does any one have character ed based lesson plans?
I have books on all of these topics locked up in my classroom for hte summer. I teach 2nd grade special ed - I usually just read the book and have the students tell me how they can trustworthy for example. I also have a teacher guide for all of these - If it were September I could help more - sorry. We have to focus on Character Ed words in school - one per month. I will look and see if I have any info at home though

I did something on this two years ago because I had some students that needed some help in this category. There is a series of books on character education. One is actually called Respect, another Trust, etc. Try to do a catalog seach at the library and see what comes up.

Re: Does any one have character ed based lesson plans?
I did this lesson with Romeo and Juliet. They had to match eacher character trait (respect, etc.) with one character in the play and prove how that character displayed the trait. It went over really well.
Unfortunately, I do not have that lesson on my current computer. I only have a hard copy of it, but I think you get the point.
You can do that with any book really......I love character education. There is a website called character counts that you can get ideas from as well.
Good Luck Jen!!
