Does any teach at or send their kids to a private school on Long Island?
I was looking into them for Ava for Kindergarten next year. I think that she would benefit from the smaller class size.
I am going to check out Saint Peters By The Sea in Bayshore, and possibly Friends Academy.
There is a Catholic School nearby, but I don't think we would be interested in going that route.
Can you suggest one?
What is the class size?
Any idea on the annual tuition?
Thank you, Tara

I know that Friends Academy is very popular. I teach religous ed on Wednesday nights at the Catholic church and a little girl in my class is in 3rd grade at Friends. She is the oldest of 4, and all of the kids go there, from pre-k on. If you want, I can ask her mother for some info. when I see them next Wednesday night. Let me know.

Not only do I teach in an independent private school, my Ava attends one, as well. What would you like to know?

I just started looking into Friends Academy. It's a Quaker school and they start at age 3 ($19k a year) up to 12th grade($26k a year).
ETA - 12:1 classroom ratio.
