does anyone believe in this sort of stuff....
I posted the pics of my new craft room a couple of days ago on the home board. In the pics you can see I have a few Hummel Figurines, they belonged to my late Grandmother that I was very close to. I have lots of other stuff of hers in my house. She LOVED her hummels & they were her most prized possesion. I have had them boxed up for several years because they aren't really my "style". I decided since some of them are sort of themes that go with my hobbies, like a little girl knitting it might be nice to add them to the new room. On Monday when I got home from work my DH was already home, the craft light in my new room was on. It can only be turned on by a touch switch, the longer you keep your finger on it the brighter it gets. I asked Dh if her turned it on & he said no, he didn't even go up there. NOBODY ELSE WAS HOME & it def wasn't on when I left for work. I think my grandma turned it on to let me know she is happy to see her hummels out. what do you think?

I don't believe in stuff like that. I would be freaking out that there was a short someplace and that there could be a fire.

Re: does anyone believe in this sort of stuff....
As much as my practical side would love to say I don't, I do...
Two stories:
1. I received an engagement gift from my aunt -- a gorgeous Waterford crystal bowl. It was GORGEOUS. I hadn't registered for it. I sent a TY note, etc.... One day a week or so later, I'm perusing our registry online and the bowl is there. *I* never added it and I know for a fact that store didn't add it. I went through it after we registered carefully to remove all the stuff they added that "matched" what I registered for. I'm 100% positive it was never there. My uncle (her husband) died 2 years earlier. I think he picked it out for me.
2. My cousin lost both of her parents within a year of each other about 5 years ago. Her parents always did Thanksgiving dinner and she took over after her father died. (He was the chef!) Years before her father died, she lost one of the tea spoons that matches her silver. She'd been looking for it for YEARS. The first Thanksgiving she did after her father died, it still wasn't there when she polished her silver for that Thanksgiving dinner. When she was cleaning up and putting her silver away the day after Thanksgiving, she had 12 perfectly matching spoons in her silver. She had had 11 for years prior.

Re: does anyone believe in this sort of stuff....
100% believe!
Another testimonial: I was always very close to my cousin,he was like the big brother I never had..well one night he was driving my parents car (alone) and had a fatal car accident,he died moments before we were able to get to the hospital. That night I dreamed he was saying good-bye and how he'll always be beside me but it wasn't a tearful, mushy good-bye...more like a tough love, big brother "punch you in the arm..come over here and give me a hug" kinda good-bye. I woke up and there was a chair right next to my pillow..the chair had previously been clear across the room.. I certainly didn't move it..no one else could have but my cousin. I found it comforting, not spooky..hope you do too. I totally think grandma was saying..I've noticed you've remembered me & thank you.
