Does anyone do a 'Budget Plan' to pay for their oil?
I contacted Petro and that is our oil co, because whenever we get filled up it is 500 + , so I wanted to see how much it would cost a month to pay the same amount each month.
They said $352!!!
Isn't that alot of $$$ to pay each month????
I am not doing it.
Between oil and electric, utilities is killing us!

We do the budget plan with Petro. Our monthly payment is $178. We set that up in May though - so that might affect the quote they give you.
I feel your pain though - the utilities eat a huge portion of our $$.

I too was quoted a crazy amount for budget. I don't understand why they make the amount so high.

You have to set your budget up in April I believe. I just prefer to pay it when I get a delivery.
If you spend $2200/yr on oil it will be $183 per month. That's if you set it up in April. I think that's how my company does it. Now you have to play catch up and that's why it's double.

When we first bought our house a few months ago we started on a budget with Petro for $250 a month. We asked them to lower it to $150.

from 05 to 06 we paid $245 a month on the budget plan with Petro that was at 2.59/gallon. When our contract renewed for October, they were going to bill us about $285/month... We ended up converting to gas last month our oil burner was on its way out..

Same thing with Slomins, you have to sign up for the budget plan in July I believe. So we're paying as they fill up and will switch to budget next summer.

my parents do it w/Slomins. I think they pay about that much for a split level. (approx 2500 sq feet)
