Does anyone else get sad thinking about how fast time goes?
DD will be 7 months tomorrow. I can't believe it. My friend had a pic in her phone of dd when she was in the hospital. I got a lump in my throat when I saw it. I HATE packing her clothes away because she is too big for them now. I held a 2 1/2 month old the other day and I couldn't believe that my baby was once that small! I'm going to be a wreck at her first b'day. Is there something wrong with me???

There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with you!!! My son is 3 months old and last night I was staring at him as he slept with his little hands in tight fists over his head and all I could think about is that one day this little baby is going to grow up and get married and be a dad himself. I was sobbing into my pillow for 1/2 an hour. Now THAT is crazy.
Enjoy every single minute mom because it really does go too fast!!! I just try to think of all the things that we have to look forward to and enjoy every single day as it comes and not jump TOO far ahead...

You're not alone Meg. I have the same feelings but on the other hand, he is becoming sooooooooo much more fun. He is sitting up, waving, splashing in the pool, etc. If you really miss the "baby" you can come babysit for me in Nov. when I have babe#2.

I feel this way too, you're not alone. It has gotten easier, when she was a newborn, the thought of her becoming 5 or 6 months made me cry. Now she is 8 1/2 months! I love every day with her though and like a previous poster said, they are SO much fun now. I think we'll always be weepy from time to time wishing they were teeny again but it's all okay!

A little. On the one hand, he's a lot more fun now than he was as a newborn, but on the other hand, it's going so fast.
I get teary everytime I need to pack away clothes--just put away some 6 month things recently.

Re: Does anyone else get sad thinking about how fast time goes?
I cried like i was giving away a puppy when i sold my stroller frame.
But we're done, so i do get sad from time to time when i see my youngest going through milestones and she'll be 1 in less than 3 weeks. I can't believe 1 year ago, i was 9 months pg, hell i can't believe ago 3 years ago this month is when we first concieved and really started trying to get pg.
But the sadness quickly fades when i think about the 2 beautiful smart little girls i have and i get more and more excited and look forward to what's to come.
My dad said something that stuck with me-Before you have kids life passes you by like light posts on the highway, when you have kids, life passes you by like blades of grass.
My parents still can't believe both their kids have 2 kids of their own, so talk about time flying!!

Yes, it hits me literally every single day. I wish I could freeze time so DD wouldn't grow up so fast

Perfectly normal. I held my son the night of his first birthday while he slept and I cried like a baby.
I barely remember how he looked or how he felt when he was a newborn. It seems like a lifetime ago...but it was only a year.

the only thing that stops me from getting sad is I know he's not my last. I know I am just going to keep wanting more to never get that last feeling.

Re: Does anyone else get sad thinking about how fast time goes?
i wasn't this way with DS, but now with DD it makes me sad because she's our 2nd and last so I know once each stage passes I'll never have it again. it goes too quickly
