Does anyone else leave the AC on for their furbabies?
My friends think I'm crazy because I leave the ac on for Casey (dog) and Ozzy (cat). I leave it on 77 and use the economy function (it turns off when the room temp reaches 77 and turns on when it goes above 77). Does anyone else do this for their furbabies or am i the only crazy one?

Its part of the cost of owning a pet.
If its uncomfortable in the house for US< it would be for them.
We keep it at 75 or so as well.

Not the only "crazy" one!
I leave it on for my cat. I can't imagine leaving him holed up in our apartment with no air on in this heat.

ABSOLUTELY. Being in a hot, stuffy house on a 90+ day while wearing a fur coat is like torture.
We put ours on the economy setting, too. And Lucy doesn't get crated on hot days. I want her to be able to move around and cool off. She likes to lay directly in front of the fan the little hog she is.

We absolutely do! One of our dogs is a breed that needs to be cool and can over heat very easily. I set my AC for 64 so I know they will be comfy. We are lucky that my FIL is retired so on days like this, he will go check on them.

it's not just for them...the house is nice & comfy when we get home... No one would say a word if there were kids in the house with the AC on all day...why any different for the furry family members?

It is seriously why we got central a/c this year. We were going to get a pool. last year both air conditioners broke so we just had fans.  Best investment was our puppy and the central air.
She likes it too!

We have the CAC going 24/7. My house doesn't get any warmer then 74.5
lol they are very comfy all day and LIPA loves us

Of course. I'm not risking Bella getting heat stroke just because I'm not home.
My co-op heats up quickly because I get the sun most of the day. I leave one a/c on in the smaller bedroom.

When its in the 70's I put the timer on and the AC will kick in at 3pm.
Anything higher than 80, the AC is on and set at 70 with the Economy setting.
I think my cats would be fine without the AC but I have a big, hairy Golden and I know he gets hot. Hell, I get hot just looking at all his fur!

We do... My condo heats up quickly as I get sun in the front all day... I keep those drapes closed to help off set, but the AC is set to go on if the inside temp hits 75 degrees.

Dogs and cats can become ill from the heat just as we humans.. You are not crazy at all- just a good pet owner!

We leave it on 70 for our pup! All day! And we leave a ton of water out (and wee wee pads, just in case!)

we leave out cac at 75 during for our furbabies. im guessing its perfect for them because when i get home they are sleeping in their beds and not on the kitchen tile floor.
