Does anyone feel mentally overwhelmed with TTC?

I have been on this site since I got married in 05, first learning about TTC process and than learning how to convince myself to wait...

We are finally going to start in March, and I feel like I am so overwhelmed. Like, its almost time and yet I have to STILL continue to wait. With fear that I may not be able to get PG, with fear that it will take too long...

Tonight I had a dream that i was shopping for stroller.

Is this crazy? do I need some help? Chat Icon

I never realized all the work that goes into this. I spent my whole life trying NOT to get pregnant and now I can't conceive?? We just have to be patient, our time will come! Good luck!!! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Does anyone feel mentally overwhelmed with TTC?

I think that's normal. Us too-- will start trying around May/June... and the thought that it is so imminent is definitely strange- like, I always pictured myself with kids-- but to actually think that in a year and a half I could actually have one! CRAZINESS!

ETA-- that's also why I did that whole spreadsheet thing that I posted about last week. So much besides just being mentally ready goes into "being ready"-- it's a lot. I really find that making lists, and being "organized" helps me to feel less overwhelmed.

It is very overewhelming and stressful but we all need to learn to take it easily (easier said than done, I know). I am trying not to get so crazy over this and it is not easy. It makes me laugh to think back to how many times in my life I prayed for AF to show. She always did. Now I just hope my praying for her to not show works as well.

I think we all feel the way you do.....I never would have thought that trying to have a baby would be so hard. But I have faith that God will bless me when its the right time for me. Its the only thing that is keeping me from going insane!!!!!!
