Does anyone find Boys names really hard to think of?
We are struggling with this big time. I have tons of beautiful girl names but not many boys names. These are what we have so far:
Declan Jude Jack Lennon(my Dh's choice-I don't like it)Dylan(again DH-see a pattern here? ) Quentin Silas Justice(old family name) Duncan
We like more unusual names but nothing really stands out. I LOVE Declan but Dh says it's to "ethnic"
Oh my last name is 3 syllables and very English sounding Starts with an M and ends with an M

Re: Does anyone find Boys names really hard to think of?
Jack has always been one of my favorite boys names (because it is my old initials - JAK)... but since it is so popular now and I have a newphew named Jackson we decided not to use it.
From your list I like Jude the best!

Re: Does anyone find Boys names really hard to think of?
We had Declan on our list too as a good ole Irish name. DH wanted to nickname him "Deck". Jack was also one of our favorites but we didn't like it's popularity.

Re: Does anyone find Boys names really hard to think of?
See, we are having the opposite problem. We can't agree on a girls name at all, even though we both have favorites. If we have a girl, it will likely be WWIII in these parts.
I love Quentin and Declan!!! Dh and I like more untraditional names too. Can't wait to hear what you guys decide on.

Re: Does anyone find Boys names really hard to think of?
we're having serious middle name issues. in my family, there's a tradition of giving a super-old (pre-christian) germanic name... this will obviously be the middle, not first name...
try finding a list of 1000-1500 year old names and THEN choosing one that isn't bizarre! I think in the end, we may recruit the help of my uncle, who is a historian in germany.
I know it's a wierd tradition, but it's rather ingrained in us... consider it to be a nod to our REAL roots.... way back when....
(I know you're thinking, geez, what does my DH think about this odd tradition? Well, he actually doesn't care, becuase no one in his family even has a middle name. DH chose the first name, so he's letting me have my 'fun' with the middle name... He also likes the old-school germanic tribe names, becuase they're all rather strong sounding. he retains veto power, however...)

We're soooo opposite with names. I like unusual names, and he likes really traditional names....we came to a few conclusions on girls, but with boys we're completely at a dead end!!!

I love Declan. That was going to be DC #2 name but then we found out it was a girl instead ! We were going to go with Declan Michael.

We're pretty much the same way. DH is desperate to have a IV. I'm not a fan at all, but we found a nickname that we both like. I'm still trying to get him to reconsider though. I decided that since he gets to name , I get my way if we have a . It will be a real challenge to find a name that we both love.

This is us too! We have found some girls names we agree on, but we cannot agree on any boys names ....oh well, we have a few more months to work out a compromise

Re: Does anyone find Boys names really hard to think of?
We didn't have any problems choosing names for this pregnancy - we're going with family names...but I can see it being a problem.
On your list, Silas is my favorite - it's actually on my list for a (future) boy as well. I like Quentin and Lennon too.

your not the only one without boys names...DH said "Gotham Lee" after the city where Batman lives and to use my middle name with it. Gee...how horrible is this?!

Mikie hates Grant. Guess what he says about it? it's pretentious

Re: Does anyone find Boys names really hard to think of?
The boy's name for us was the hardest, we wanted something unique, but not over the top.
We've been thinking of boy's names for 10 months now, and just officially agreed on it yesterday.
