Does anyone get panic attacks?

I get anxiety/panic attacks and i never know when they are going to be brought on or how bad they are going to be.

I know it's all in my head....and I try to talk myself out of them, but it's so hard.

Like right now I am having one - I get cold, I feel like I have chest pain -

and then I start to worry and that makes it worse.

I take xanax and I am trying to wean myself off of it - does anyone ever feel like I feel?

Yep. At least once a week, sometimes every day. I take Paxil, and Xanax as needed.

Yes, all the time. I learned how to control them now but there are days I can't control them, it's such a horrible feeling.

Isn't it just the worst feeling?

and then when they are done, I am so exhausted because all my adreniline has pumped thru my body.

I have given up caffeine because that was a trigger. I am very caffeine sensitive.....that has helped.

I am so glad I am not the only one...it's so scary.

I have never had one...at least I dont think so.

I get them sooo bad I feel like I am dying

I get them every few months and I had one at work a few weeks ago and it was awful.. I know the feeling

It will start with a little twinge of something in my body and then I start to worry - what if I am having a heart attack, or what if osmething is wrong, and then the worry manifests and you start to have physical symptoms - racing heart and just the feeling of being out of control.

I have been to the ER several times over the years because I think I am dying - latley, I have learned to get them under control - but it has to be the worse feeling in the world.

A panic attack feels just like a heart attack, physically. You feel impending doom, like you are going to die, your heart races, you cannot concentrate, and you literally feel like any moment, you are a goner.
