Does anyone have a Canon Rebel XTii 400D camera or similar model?

I'm borrowing one and I have a dumb question. The instructions manual I was given is in Spanish.

Can you view the picture you are about to take on the big screen? When I turn the camera on, there is just a white screen with settings. I don't know how to change it to see what is being viewed through the lens.

I have a T3i, and there's a button on the back with a screen on the button. That button toggles the screen with the viewfinder.
