Re: does anyone have a Ford Expedition??
I don't have one, but I'm not a fan of oversized gas-guzzling vehicles unless you are using it in a commercial capacity. Your family already has an expolrer which gets bad gas milage(we have one too). If it were my choice I'd keep shopping & try to find something better on gas. Its not even a matter of whether or not you can afford to waste gas, IMO we as a united country have to start to be smarter for the future. JMO

Re: does anyone have a Ford Expedition??
i appreciate the way you feel....I have 2 kids plus I plan on 2 more (definitely 1 more) and I watch my 6 month old nephew every other day I buy a lot of stuff in bulk and carry a lot of strollers and big items with me A truck is a lot easier to have than a car for me
plus I feel a lot safer in a truck than in a car

Re: does anyone have a Ford Expedition??
They are HUGE. I wouldn't get one because they are probably terrible on gas, but also most people I have seen driving them don't seem able to handle them - too much truck for them.
I would wait and see if you can get a smaller truck, which would suit your needs, but be easier to drive.

Re: does anyone have a Ford Expedition??
My parents have one - my mother has stopped using it to get to work (2 miles away) because its a GAS GUZZLER!!! At least $60 to fill.

Re: does anyone have a Ford Expedition??
A friend of mine has one and it is so large that it is difficult to get parking spots large enough to fit it. If parking close is an issue, I would not get it, because she winds up parking so far away since she can't fit most normal spots between 2 cars. As others mentioned, it costs her about $70/week to fill, so if money is a consideration, that's $280 a month for gas for how much she drives.

Re: does anyone have a Ford Expedition??
That's a big truck!! Another car to look for, if you like Ford's is the Escape. I have one and it's okay on gas...it has to be better than an Expedition...They're very roomy!
Here's a few pics....
