yup they are great for during the winter when you dont want to go outside to grill ! it can get a lil smokey though

I have a calphalon one that I have been using for years - it is time for retirement.
I am hoping Santa brings me a cast iron double burner one.
I prefer the cast iron as I am trying to avoid any non-stick like cookware. The cast iron, if seasoned properly, will not stick and is super easy to clean.
You can also use it as a panini press - just put something on top to push down on the sandwich.
I love it - and especially for things like veggies that can burn on an outdoor grill, you have better heat control indoors. That and since I don't have an outdoor grill, since I am in an apt, I use it ALL the time.

I have a cast iron panini press that I use as my grill pan and I LOVE it! It was my free gift with my all clad pot set

I had a grill pan like yours & I hated it because the food would cook & sit in it's own grease. Have had this Sanyo one for a year & LOVE it! Practically no smoke & food tastes yummy. The grease gets collected into a drip pan under the grill.

I have an all clad grill pan and a le crueset as welll. Personally i use the all clad much much more

Dh just bought the one I think you have the pic of. He bought it at bbb, and I think its Emeril, by all clad. Cast iron. He loves it

i had a 2 burner one that was not non-stick, used it all the time, but its started to get icky.
now I have a 1 burner pampered chef one... I love it!
