Does anyone have a natural bug spray that works for toddlers slightly under 2?

DS is getting completely mauled by mosquitos this year - his legs are literally covered in them and it is starting to worry me b/c he scratches them like crazy and some are starting to look not so good. I don't want to use anything with chemicals in it so if you have any natural reccs that actually work that would be fabulous! TIA!

I use badger balm citronella block that I got at whole foods last year. - I'm not sure how good it works, but she smells like a citronella candle!

We live in an area with LOTS of bugs. We have been using Gentle Naturals DEET free bug repellent and it seems to be working pretty well for my DDs age 3 years and 21 months. My older DD has very bad reactions when she gets bug bites, so we have to use something on her and this seems to be doing the trick as far as keeping the bugs away, and it's really gentle on her sensitive skin. I bought it at BRU. Hope this helps!!! Chat Icon

I just bought DD the Burts Bee natural bug repellant at the Christmas Tree shop in Deer Park. If you go to www.safemama.com they have recs for the bug sprays with the least chemicals.

I have a CVS version of Skin So Soft. Also, avon runs specials quite frequently for their few versions of SSS.

Ok two things...

I have used Burts Bees insect repellant, has citronella in it. Very greasy but works. I am not sure if a 2 year old can use it but I think so. Check on their website.

Also my MIL ordered these.http://www.bugchaser.com/default.aspx?pageid=1 DH has used it, so far it works. I actually didnt use it yet, wanted to read more about it but supposedly safe. I think they are made in LI.

I just got bit 3 times tonight. Chat Icon
