Does anyone have a Sleep Number bed?
I have a bad back, and our $2000 mattress isn't cutting it anymore. We're starting to look into the Sleep Number bed.
Does anyone have one, and if so, do you love it?

Re: Does anyone have a Sleep Number bed?
We don't have one, but we slept on one in a hotel in San Francisco. We did not love it. The default setting was comfortable, but then I had to play with the buttons and test every setting and couldn't get it back to being as comfortable as it was when I first got in bed.
Basically, it seems like an adjustable air mattress on top of a mattress. The number settings inflate and deflate the air mattress part.

Re: Does anyone have a Sleep Number bed?
I have slept on one several times, since my aunt and uncle have them in their house. I foudn it to be pretty comfortable. They got the bed because they both have had bad back trouble, and for them, it has been the best bed so far. The other thing they like about it is that there are dual controls, so if one person likes the bed more firm than the other, he/she can adjust that own side as he/she likes it. It is loud when you adjust the setting, though.
I believe the whole thing is inflatable. I remember my aunt saying that when you move, you can just deflate the bed and then re-inflate it after the move.

Re: Does anyone have a Sleep Number bed?
My SIL has one. She has back problems and this is the only bed she is comfortable in. She swears by it and it was worth every penny. I have slept on one in a hotel and it is the most comfortable bed.

Re: Does anyone have a Sleep Number bed?
Thanks for all of the reviews!!!!
I've suffered with severe back pain since I was 20, and this pregnancy has made it damned near unbearable. I'm willing to try anything. I'm thinking we may give it a try.
Thanks again!
