Does anyone have blue walls in a girl nursery?
We are team , but the room the baby will be going into is blue, I am trying to decide if we should repaint or just go with it! I am having a really difficult time visualizing if anyone has pictures as well! Thanks!

Re: Does anyone have blue walls in a girl nursery?
Our baby is actually a boy, but before we knew the gender, we always knew it would be in the spare bedroom which is a really light blue. I had no intention or painting it pink or another girly color. Actually the room used to be our room and I'm a girl and I didn't mind the blue! It's really calming. In my profile the last four pics were taken in the room. You can see how light it is, it doesn't even really look blue!

I actually wanted to do DD's big girl room in a Robin's Egg Blue. But my 2.5 year old diva only wanted pink so pink it is!!

when i was a teenager i repainted my room a pale blue.
not like that helps with your nursery issue, but i think pale or baby blues, maybe even a periwinkle kind of color could work for a girl room.

Re: Does anyone have blue walls in a girl nursery?
I do- we did a really pale blue with white crown molding and chair rail and white furniture. I did the curtains and accents in pink (darkish) and I really like the way the colors look together.
I haven't taken any pics yet b/c I am still picking our artwork for the walls, but I can try to get a few for you later!

Re: Does anyone have blue walls in a girl nursery?
We are having a girl and the walls of our nursery are light blue. They were actually already that color, back from when our nursery used to be our office. We are doing a garden theme nursery with flower decals on the wall and a green area rug on the floor, so for us the light blue walls fit our sky, garden, green grass theme.

I would totally go light blue with little yellow flowers, pink flowers...it would give a warm clean look.
shabby chic
add a little white chandelier, eyelet(sp) curtains...
love it!

Funny you shoul dmention this...Joe and I were just talking about light blue walls, and then we'll wait on bedding until after the baby is born. If it's a girl it'll work because I want a daisy room and any of the little girl bedding would work as long as it's not all pink, and if it's a boy then again anything would work also.

Re: Does anyone have blue walls in a girl nursery?
I was pretty set with painting the nursery a darker blue ONLY if it was a girl, not a boy.. but i ended up changing my mind at the last minute and went with green. We used the exact color that we were going to use in a nursery in our guest room instead and i LOVE it. I was going to go for the shabby chic look (blue walls, pink flower accents, pink gingham textiles...) and i think that color would have worked perfect.
It was Behr Winter Lake

We do! Blue on the top half and grass green on the bottom half with a fence around the bottom of the room.
There are terrible pics in my album...no where near completed at the time and no where near the actual shade...but you get the pic!

Re: Does anyone have blue walls in a girl nursery?
We were and have blue walls (BM Philipsburg Blue) walls with white wainscotting. (The room already was that color and since it's a kinda dark blue figured it would be a PITA to prime and cover. There also wasn't a "neutral" color I really wanted - blue is my favorite color).
Baby ended up so I got pink/girly accessories (hamper, rug, some bedding, etc).
(if you do a search on me, I posted pics when DH completed the wainscotting. I don't have any pics yet as I've been adding the girly touches)

Re: Does anyone have blue walls in a girl nursery?
We are team but I LOVE the idea of blue for a girl so yes. If not blue walls, I would want this crib bedding (only if I won the lotto...lol). I love it!
My fave nursery bedding..for a girl.
