Does anyone have home phone service through Time Warner Cable?

Does anyone have home phone service through Time Warner Cable?
It seems significantly cheaper if we do it that way rather than having Verizon but I'm concerned about the service.
Do they cut out alot? If we lose electricity do we lose phone service? I've had Verizon for a million years and at least I know what I'm getting.

we have the whole package (phone, cable and internet)... I dont remember having problems with the phone at all... we switched because we were having a lot of problems with verizon... we are very happy with the service right now!

my sister had it for a short time - almost once a day the sound would get very "digital" if that makes sense. . .it kind of broke up and got scrambled and kind of sounded like the devil. You also do not have service in a blackout.

We live in the city and have our phone through Time Warner. We have never had any issues or problems. If you lose electric, you do lose service.
ditto- we hardly use it- unless we are ordering food

hmm I am not sure one has anything to do with the other... I had some problems with the signal for my internet but still had cable... not sure though about the answer to your question
