Does anyone have insurance through an insurance broker or the marketplace?

Can you give me any info you have on how to find the best plan. And if you don't mind sharing what plan you have and how much you pay. Thanks!

Our financial adviser does this as a courtesy for his clients. He shows us everything available in our area, gives us the breakdowns and then we weigh pros and cons together. Though I’m pretty sure if you go on the exchange website, they can get you in touch with a broker (at no cost to you) who will help you with your decision

Nassau and Suffolk have different plans. And it really depends on your needs.

Emblem Health Gold:
just my DH and I. Suffolk county. We pay $1,753 per month. $250 ded each per year and copays are $40pcp (we get 3 PCP appointments at $0 per calendar year) $60 for specialist and $75 for urgent care
$200 for ER and $1,500 for hospital admittance (each time - no cap)
RX $15/$35/$75
We also need referrals and pre authorization for everything - including hospital admittance.

It is a shit show when it comes to the plans on this exchange. I still can’t believe this is what we pay each year. It’s hard to even swallow.

I have insurance through the marketplace- we have a plan with MVP. The enrollment deadline for 2019 was 12/15 unless you have a qualifying life event
