Yes! We have to do a few things to make any shopping trips bearable. The kid goes mental in a shopping trolley and shouts DOWN DOWN DOWN like I am torturing him.
1. Big Up the shopping trolley. In the car on the way to the supermarket we do a LOT of talking about the trollies and how much fun they are to ride in, and how big boys ride in them.
2. Break out the bribes: Noah get certain lovely treats at the supermarket, a pack of mini pringles can keep him busy for about 25 minutes, a juicebox buys me another 10 minutes, a yogurt in a squeezebag buys me another 10 maybe and a Thomas Magazine buys me about 30 minutes. I have to ration these out.
3. Sometimes I have to bring out the big guns: Chocolate or my mobile phone.
4. Sometimes, I leave him home! :)

Leah LOVES it! She bounces up and down when we go through the parking lot. Can you dance with her to make her like it?

Bryan LOVES the shopping cart. He loves being in the parking lot and if it's windy, he laughs his butt off..its too cute.
Maybe you should try a floppy seat. Some of them come with toys and things to keep them busy. Worth a try.

My DD loves the shopping cart now. She didn't always love it though. I stopped trying for months and then one day, I really needed to do some shopping and thought we'd try again & she was fine. I do bring snacks and I act really silly with her. She loves the bright lights in stores. She doesn't, however, love long lines!

Emma will give me problems sometimes. I bring snacks and things to distract her. Or I have her help me hold things while I shop. She also likes to help me put the groceries on the belt. It's a pain (especially when we have someone in a hurry behind us) but it works and keep Emma and mommy happy.
