I have an older version of the Hoover Floormate...I honestly don't use it at all...I have tile floors in my kitchen and bathroom with lots of corners and find I always need to use a mop anyway, so I just mop it instead...

I got it at bed bath and beyond 2 weeks ago and returned it the next day. It is VERY heavy and it suctions onto the floor and that makes it hard to maneuver. Also, IMO it didn't clean my tiles well.

I have a Floormate, but I don't use it that often because it takes much longer than just getting out a bucket and a mop. I think it cleans well and I like that it suctions the floor dry. I feel like the floor gets cleaner because it ***** the dirty water back up instead of just leaving it there to dry, but like I said most times I just use a regular old mop.

I had the older version and I have a huge tile kitchen floor, so I liked it. However, It broke often and was expensive to fix, when it was not a covered item.

I have a Hoover Floormate- and it looks like I'm in the minority, but I LOVE mine! It picks up well- and cleans well too. It has never broken, and I've had it for 4 years. I use it constantly on my tile floor and my wood floors.
