Does anyone have the Soothing Motions™ Glider for infant?

How does your little one like it? I was thinking of getting this instead of a swing. Is that a good idea, bad idea in your opinion?

Re: Does anyone have the Soothing Motions™ Glider for infant?
We have the Soothing Motions Glider and it was great early on. It was given to us by a close friend and is not something I would have purchased otherwise. It was a savior the first couple of months because we kept it in our bedroom and it was one of the few places she liked to sleep! However I have to say that I would not get this instead of a swing. I think you still need a swing. We had a portable swing as well as the Graco Sweet Peace. The portable swing was great up until she was 6-7 months and now at 10.5 months she only uses the Sweet Peace. HTH

We got it off our registry as a gift, and she looooved it really really early on, she would sleep in and loved it...but I would also get the swing as well, as she got a littl more alert the swing definitely was better, and they grow out of this quickly too, faster than the swing!

this is great - but does not replace the swing!

ITA--it was the ONLY place where DS would sleep for the first 7 weeks! We moved it into our bedroom every night and he slept in it there too. But it's different than the swing...I don't think it's an either/or...

I had one for my son at my mom's house and he loved it. I bought one for my friend and her son loved it also. Worth the $$ IMO, but you could still use a swing.

We bought it when we realized the swing we used for our first DD was broken.
Yael HATES it... total waste of money! And, she sleeps so well on her own, so we really don't need it anyway.

thanks everyone. I was thinking of getting it instead of the swing b/c I am limited on space. SO maybe I should do swing instead of Glider.
