Does anyone have there Flat Screen on the wall with a large shelf ???

I know this is a silly question but I saw this picture in a magazine and it was a large shelf the same color as the wood floor in the living room with the flat screen on it.
It made the room look bigger without a tv stand or wall unit..
Does anyone have there tv this way
Please post pics if you do .
Or how do you have youre Flat screen in youre living room

was it on the shelf?
you can hang it on the wall then but a shelf under it. the weight of it would hold on a shelf (it could if done correctly) but then it could fall because the depth of the shelf i would imagine be small.

i've seen people install tv on the wall then but a shelf a few feet down to hold there cablebox, dvd, etc...

install flat screen on wall is easy (just did it last night) - switched tv to a different room.
