Does anyone here live in Florida and have kids in the school system.

My step-daughter and her mom are moving to Springhill in June/July and his ex is claiming that the daughter (7th grade) will be going full year (and every 6-8 wks has a couple of weeks off) and if we are planning on coming down in Sep (to visit my il's) then we should plan the week she is off.

I did a search and am finding none of this, the school starts in Aug, ends in May and they dont have anytime off in Sep.

Any help would be appreciated.

what county is springhill? i taught in Palm beach county and that wasn't the case.

I live on the border of Escambia, Santa Rosa and Okolassa and it isn't the case here.

But I think it might be the case in the New Port Richey Area... I'm not sure.

They do it in my parents district in NC

my aunt's sister teaches in central fla (not sure what county) and they do all year schools.
