thqt is an Egret. They sit on my shed roof and steal the fish from my neighbors fish pond. I am in West Babylon. I was told they come from Argyle Lake in Babylon.

I work at a place that has a huge natural pond and sometimes they visit and eat the koi. I think the town stocks the koi.

We have ponds with koi in my development and usually have one or 2 of these egrets hanging around.

You will see them on LI through the summer...especially on the North Shore or near the beach.
They love koi ponds!!
