Do you know your babies blood type?
Dh and I were just talking about this the other day. We have no idea what Ava's blood type is. Were they suppossed to tell you at the hospital?

They told us because her blood type is universal - I'm sure your ped would know.

Nope....i asked her ped...he didin't know. i wonder if the hospital would have it on file.

Yes, he is O neg like me. They told me after i delivered cause i questioned whether i needed another shot of rhogam.

They told me in the hospital and believed that sicne we had incompatable blood types that it was the reason why she had high bilirubin levels. It was also on her discharge paperwork that the pediatricians have.

WE FOUND OUT AT THE HOSPITAL BECAUSE BOTH MY KIDS HAD +RH FACTORS AND I NEED THE RHOGAM INJ.

All I know is that it is a postive and not negative because I had to get the shot again when I was in hospital because I have B- and the baby didn't. I think he is O

They didn't tell me at the hospital, but it came up at the ped office b/c they mentioned that she doesn't have mine so it's DH's b/c that made them concerned about jaundice.

funny that you posted this because DH and I were just talking yesterday and said that we didn tknow DD's! The hospital never told us and I didnt think it ask at the time. Im going to call and see if they still have this on file. I hope so!
ETA: I just called...they said they dont do blood testing unless there is a problem. I guess Ill have to have the ped. test it
