Does anyone like cooking with a limited number of ingredients?

I LOVE baking, no matter how touch a job. But when it comes to cooking I like it short and sweet Chat Icon Sometimes someone will post what looks like a good recipe and if there are more than 5 or 6 ingredients, I think "yeh, that's not gonna happen" Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I think that's why I can never stick to WW. All their recipes have so many different ingredients or spices. It's just too complicated for me with 2 kids running around or hanging on me while I'm trying to cook on a daily basis (or if you ask DH weekly Chat Icon).

I don't mind it if its my own recipes that I don't have to refer to a piece of paper for... When I cook I generally just grab what I need and don't measure.

Even when I try a new recipe, I read the spices and just put how much I like... if I can't do that, then I tend to steer away from making it!!!

I agree...this or when you look at a recipe that seems really good, but you're missing half the ingredients. That's such a bummer.

I totally agree. Give me less than five ingrediants and I am happy, better than that is give me five ingrediants I actually have on hand.

Then you would love the new cookbook WW put out for the Points Plus program!
It's called: Just 5.
And it's exactly that...each recipe is "just 5" ingredients...they are easy to make and really good!

I'm the same way! If its a huge list of ingredients I don't even bother.
