Does anyone NOT give a bottle right before bed???

Thomas is almost 7 months. He's now having 3 meals a day. The way his schedule works out at daycare, he has a bottle about 5:00 - 5:30 p.m. I give him dinner as soon as we get home - arouind 6:15 p.m. He goes to bed at 7:30 p.m. I give him a bedtime bottle just to "top him off" in the hopes that he'll sleep through the night and if he wakes, at least it's not because he's hungry. He usually only takes 2 - 3 ounces since he's not really due for a bottle until 8 p.m or 9 p.m. I don't really think he needs a bottle to fall asleep because he goes to sleep pretty well on his own (he sometimes wakes several times during the night, but he goes to sleep initially great).

Somtimes I wonder if that extra couple of ounces is hurting and not helping. Maybe I'm "over-filling" him.

Does anyone not give their baby a bottle right before bed?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I give him a bottle right before bed - but he doesn't sleep well at all --- so maybe you are right about them sleeping when they are too full! Who knows! I don't think we'll ever figure these kids out!

DS gets his last bottle with dinner and then will usually play for another half hour or so before bedtime. He gets 3 bottles a day at mealtimes.
