Does anyone plant Amaryllis bulbs at the holiday time??
I am looking for some advice on planting amaryllis bulbs...this is random, but someone might know something!
Usually I plant them in a vase with glass marbles, but looking on the internet they say to plant them in compost...anyone have any other advice???

I got two last year, and read that they like really rich soil. Compost is great for that.
They've been doing great with the soil they've been in since last year and it looks like it has a lot of peat in it. Any kind of compost/water retentive mix probably would work.
