Regarding holiday bonus time...
Do you like the bonus you get each year?
I don't at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We don't get money or gift certificates, etc....
we get a big, fat, after-market TURKEY!
Yes, that's right! After Thanksgiving (around Dec 2nd) I pick up my big frozen turkey from the truck outside my hospital. Cheap hospital!!! At least they could give me the turkey BEFORE thanksgiving!!!

Last year, we were told that we would be receiving a monetary bonus AFTER Jan 1st (for tax purposes)- welllll its November, and we still haven't seen it.

Bonus, what bonus?! In my 7 years in the workforce, I've never ever received one. Guess that has a lot to do with working for non-profits!

We get a weeks pay. And I get gifts from all the contractors. Last year my boss even gave me all the gifts he got from the contractors too!

I get a cash bonus (holiday gift) from my boss. Last year my other boss gave me a case of wine (really great stuff)
It's usually pretty generous considering it's cash! It get it mid-Dec.

I've never worked full time, but when I was at sears, we exceeded our sales goal, so we won money to share, so we used it to go to a nice dinner at Baci.
Now I'm half personal assistant half the sole employee of a theatre comapny, so I work very closely with my boss, so I would think he'd get me a gift or a gift certificate or something.
FH worked for a company that gave great bonuses, but his first year he was only there for 4 mos before bonuses, so he got a pro-rated bonus. Then, they laid off half the department right before bonus season, so we've never been able to really reap the rewards of a bonus
