Does anyone swaddle for naps?
My 8 week old will nap during the day but he won't stay asleep unless I swaddle him up like we do at night. I wouldn't do this except if he DOESN'T get two good hour-long naps, he's really fussy the rest of the day- rubbing his eyes and just crankin'.
Anyone else swaddle for naps?

Re: Does anyone swaddle for naps?
Yup. I swaddled DD#2 for naps until she was 7 months old. It made her so relaxed!

Re: Does anyone swaddle for naps?
I've started to for that EXACT reason!!
I was TRYING to keep nighttime routines for nighttime, but unless DS naps he is a wretched beats ALL day

I swaddled DD for naps until she was about 5 months old. There's nothing wrong with it!

Re: Does anyone swaddle for naps?
yup...DD is swaddled up right now taking her first nap of the day! She'll be 3 mth Tuesday. Honestly, we don't really have day/night rituals and we don't have any problems with her mixing up days/nights.

Re: Does anyone swaddle for naps?
We definitely swaddled DS for naps when he was younger. We probably did this until he was about 4 months... then we had to stop the swaddle because he was rolling over in his sleep!

Re: Does anyone swaddle for naps?
Yep, DS is 7 months old and still likes to be swaddled for naps. I think to him its part of his sleeptime routine…..He knows when he is swaddled its time to sleep. At bedtime he is no longer swaddled.
But do what works…you need a break…DS needs sleep… so if swaddling works, go for it!

Re: Does anyone swaddle for naps?
We swaddled DD at night and during naps up until 2 months ago. Then we stopped swaddling for naps. We just this week stopped swaddling at night. She is 6months 1 week.

Re: Does anyone swaddle for naps?
Charlie is swaddled anytime she goes down to sleep - nap or nighttime. She just sleeps better (aka: longer) b/c she's still doing the Moro reflex which wakes her at random times.

That's Logans issue too! If only I realized it a few weeks ago!

Re: Does anyone swaddle for naps?
Yes, but not always. Sometimes he fell asleep on his own but if I saw that DS was really tired but just couldn't get himself down, I would swaddle him for his nap as well.
