Does anyone use Dr. Fred Barash in Manhasset (ped)?

I was given his name from my OB's office as a recommendation, just wondering if anyone has any experience with him.

TIA.

He is the attending at NSUH. He did my DD's first check up in the hospital. Chat Icon He was very nice. I would have totally had him as DD's ped, but we live upstate.

Same here.

I found him very old school (1960-70's). The nurses told me he's pro-formula. He looked at me like Chat Icon when I said I was BFing both and having them room in with me.

I'm in Suffolk. I know I wouldn't have chosen him as their ped.

I interviewed him when I was looking and I didn't really like his bedside manner I guess, so I kept looking.

I interviewed with him and the whole time we were there (10 minutes), he opened his mail. Not what we were looking for.

Yup we use him and love him. I was recommended to him by a very good friend of mine. Her family has been going to Dr. Barash for 12 plus years.

I Bfd my son and he never put me down for doing so. On the contrary, he called to see how the BFing was going and immediately gave me the number to a lactation consultant when I was having issues bfing.

He is NOT the lovey dovey type at all and can be sarcastic at times but he says it like it is and knows what he's talking about. He has never steered us wrong and has always been there when we needed him. He is a sole practioner and has no answering service. He routes his after hours calls directly to his home. We are very happy with him.

If you have any specific questions, feel free to FM me.
