Does anyone wear underwire nursing bras?
If they are so bad, why do they make them?
The non-underwire ones are not cutting it for me-- but, part of me feels like it's so bad to wear them. But, I need real bras!!

I wore them the whole 8 months I nursed with no problems. I actually didn't hear they were bad until I was done nursing.

I only wear underwire. My LC never mentioned that it wasn't a good idea.
I've nursed for 4 months and have had absolutely ZERO problems since wearing them. I think the key is to make sure you leave plenty of room in the cups. I actually ordered a cup size up and I'm really glad I did.
Sorry, but these DDDs aren't staying up on their own

ok-- you guys made me feel better...
Yeah, before I got pregnant-- I was a 34D, now I am up to an F. Those soft cup bras do not cut it for me AT ALL.

No way, girl!!!! I say get one and see how comfortable it is. I think the key is for it not to be TIGHT.
Good lord, I can't imagine these boobs in a soft-cup bra right now. It isn't enough that since beginning BF, I practically have to pick them up off the floor to put them IN the bra...

I do. I have both times and never got a clogged duct BUT I also don't have an abundant milk supply. Not sure if that makes a difference.

I was a 34DDD before I got pregnant. I couldn't do the soft cup ones at all. I wear my regular bras and just pull them down to nurse. It works fine for me.

I was a 34D b4 pregnant & got up to a 40E when my milk came in, I lived in underwire until I got a clogged duct & had the fever & pains & that was all it took. I was able to find some decent supportive bras w/ no underwire from Medela

I wore no underwire at home or on errands. When I was at a family function or anywhere where I desperately needed the lift, I put the underwire ones on.

I have a couple of both and alternate. I never had a problem last time for the 11 months that I BF. I assume I won't have a problem this time either.

my 2 favorite nursing bras hav underwires. I got them at Georgette's in Hicksville - I know you live in the city, but might be worth the trip...they are amazing at sizing you....the bras fit me perfectly and give great support!
