Are there any on long Island? Or even a music production company?

KOCH in Port Washington - It is a Music Company. I dont work for them but the company is in the indutrial park where I work

There are. But most LI versions fit into one of two things.
1. Rich man who affords own studio and stuff in huge beuaty northshore mansion
2. Not so rick man, just out of high school or college that uses a basement room and the technology of the day.
Amazing how much music can be worked on thru a mac and computer stuff.

The old school record producing idea of yesteryear is disappearing. Big studios are closing their doors but they aren't going away.
