does CIO work if...
ds (almost 7 months) has been sleeping horribly for the last 3 1/2 months (he used to sleep through the night).
Now he wakes either EVERY HOUR or every 2-3 hours on good nights. i let him whine, cry and toss and turn till about 5 am on his own and then i go in there and nurse him and he sleeps for another 1-2 hours again if i'm lucky. but i will go in and help him get back to sleep if he starts getting worked up.
i know that he is not hungry b/c even if i nurse him early in the night he still wakes up every hour crying.
i don't think it's teething b/c it's been going on for soooo long.
he's on zantac so i know it's not his reflux.
i have NO clue what his deal is. anyone have any ideas?
anyway, if you're still reading, my question is- will CIO work in the middle of the night? any other suggestions?
thanks so much for reading and for any advice!

Re: does CIO work if...
Yes, it def works. I only started CIO around 9 months. I couldn't take getting up every hour anymore. It took about a week but now she will get up and not cry, just sit up and babble and then go back down.
Good luck! Any questions, just ask. I found myself getting mad at her, so that is how I knew I had to do it, and stick with it.

It does work....really it does...
I can see that DS is going to be a problem. He is such a creature of habit and routine.
It has worked with all my older girls.

Re: does CIO work if...
i could have written what you wrote exactly...anyway, my DD is almost 6months and i now "refuse" to go in there before her 5am feeding. i keep the monitor very very low so i don't jump at the slightest cry. i only go in if shes going crazy or if the cry has gone to 10 min tops. this has helped a lot and i think that now b/c she is almost 6mos she would start to figure out that every time she cries i run in which can become a problem. good luck!
