Does EVERYONE on this board know each other???

I don't "know" anybody on this message board, except for the few wonderful people I've met, exchanging formula, etc. I haven't been able to make it to any of the GTGs yet, but would love to so I can meet some of the great people on this board and make some friends (for myself and DS). I've been actively posting for the past 6 months (since DS was born). I used to just post questions and try to answer questions with my limited experience as much as I could. I've recently started posting pictures because I see how much everyone likes to see pictures of everybody's DC and I wanted to share my joy. I am SO happy and grateful to everyone who responds to my posts (pictures or questions). You all make my day. I just can't help but feel terribly bad for my DS when my posts don't get anywhere near the amount of interest as other posters. I know I'm nuts!! I feel bad for my son because I feel he's being slighted because people aren't looking or replying to his pictures! I was just wondering if it's because people don't "know" me... Feel free to respond or not... I am overly sensitive in general, but especially when it comes to my son's happiness and well-being!

awww.. i know how you feel. I dont know anyone here either. I wanted to post pics of my DD but my DH doesnt want me to. So I know if i did and i didnt get many posts i would feel the same as you do.. I just believe its that people know each other here and have known each other for awhile, thats why they get alot of posts. Nothing against you personally.. so dont feel like your son is being neglected by limited posts..

I always feel bad when someone posts a question or something and no one responds, so i try and respond even if i have no clue how to answer there question.. lol

I only know a couple of girls on here IRL. Sometimes my posts don't get much response either, but don't let that discourage you from posting!

Well, I knew alot of people on here in real life before coming to LIF (Tanaholic, Meltoddjulia, KRWM, Fireislandlove, LBG30, Shopaholic) -- so they prob. feel like they HAVE to say Jack is cute otherwise I'd kick their azzes!

I haven't seen any of your picture posts though -- but I def. want to see more pics of that cutiepie!

I live in CT, so I've yet to meet the wonderful ladies here, since either the GTG's are during the week or the few that are weekends we can't attend.

I don't really know anyone on here either, I've only met like 3 in person from 2 gtg's that I went to. And I know of more (recognize more screenames, know first names, etc) ladies just from going through pregnancy together, those that had their babies around the same time as me...and those that I've FMed or received FMs from.

I try to respond to most of the pictures people post b/c I love seeing pictures, but sometimes I only respond to one here and there b/c I don't have the time at that paticular moment. But I love seeing everyones pics and I love posting pics and getting others responses (I think we all do!) We are all so proud of our DC's!

If I see a post that doesn't get many responses I feel bad, and I'll try to post a response if I can relate.

I've met a lot of people on here, but I would say for the most part we all started out not knowing each other & became friendly through this board.

Not sure if I've seen your picture posts or not because I tend to respond to the photos & not remember who's child it was unless I've met them in person. Also I may click on your picture post 10 times, thinking I didn't respond but find I did - so pay no attention to the views either. It's me & my addled brain clicking around.

I met a lot of people from LIF. My posts don't get answered all the time. Neither does everybody else.

Please try not to let it bother you. I actually never saw your posts about your DC.

Posts go very quickly to page 2 or 3 within hours. So some posts get overlooked.

I dont know anyone on the board. I would def. say there are "cliques". But I try to respond to photos and respond to post that I can add value to!

I felt like this a few months ago when I posted a pics of dd and got little to no response. Honestly, its just a weird feeling that is understandable. But for reasons that were explained to me, I respect them. (not on at times, maybe alot of things going on, etc...)
I do know some of the girls bc of gtg's and locations etc...
I think when you go to a gtg it is the best way to talk and relate to others on here. If you are interested in meeting some new moms why dont you go to the sayville or woodbury gtg? I am going to both bc I love to meet new people. i hope you will consider bc you will truly see how great everyone is.

I don't know anyone IRL - after posting so long, sometimes you "feel" like you know certain people, especially because I am on here fairly often you get used to seeing the same names everyday.

I don't get many responses to my posts either - but - I certainly don't take it personally.

I only have met Sharon (Ambersmom) IRL. And Barb at one of the photoshoots. I'm going to my first GTG next month.

Sometimes I post things that get no responses. Don't take it personally, people are busy. I know many times I can come on and read posts, but might have someone on my lap or be dealing with a situation on the phone and not able to reply to posts.

But I definately think your DS is a cutie!

I often feel this way when I post pics but I don't let that stop me lol if I have a really cute pic to post I will. I am not on all that much and I never been to the GTG so I don't know anyone in RL but after a while you will start to connect through the threads and FM and it will feel like you've know the person forever .
I wish I can more time to come on and post and answer questions but duty calls lol.

I don't know many people personaly on here at all just a few. I don't really post all that often though. WOuld be nice to meet some more moms with kids my sons ages in the area! But Dont let it get to you!!

Eh, dont let it bother you!!!! Some babies get more attention but that does not mean your baby isnt just as cute! I dont get too many responses when I post a pic of my son and I KNOW he is cute!!!! I dont let it bother me and I dont get sensitive over it.

I live in Chicago and don't "know" anyone on here in real life, except for one person. Don't feel bad. There are lots of reasons why people may not respond to your posts. There may not be alot of people on. I know alot of times I'm popping on radomly and may look at a post, but don't have time to respond right away.

I don' tknow anyone IRL but I tend to look at those who are the same age as mine or who are frequent posters and it's like watching them grow up. I"m also on alot at work so can't respond much although I try to read thru most posts when I can. Please don't take it personally!!
