Does mayo go bad??

I bought some a while ago to make something when I had people over for brunch-- but I never use it myself and forgot about it in the fridge.. I wanted to try another recipe that calls for mayo and realized I still have some-- can I still use??

look at the expiration date!

if it's beyond the date, toss it. mayo is one thing I don't play with

It should be dated!
It does go bad in time!

If it was like 6 months, I wouldn't, but if it was only 2 or so, then I would.

o- I didn't even realize there was a date on it-- I just saw it in the fridge-- I didn't even touch it..

ok the date says Aug 2006-- so that's still good even though it's opened right?

Um- never ever use Mayo obviously..

smell it. Bad mayo smell is, well, potent

If it's not beyond the date it should be fine. I've used the same open mayo jar for months.
