Does pumping burn as many calories as breastfeeding?
Just wondering...
I am pumping about 3-4 times a day.

I think that the reason you burn more calories when breastfeeding is because your body is working so hard to produce the milk. I would assume that it is the same regardless of if you are actually putting the baby to your breast or pumping.

thats my understanding as well - its the milk production, not the way you feed.

 keep pumping...when I was breasfeeding, I lost like 30 pounds in 3-4 weeks since I stopped...I have lost about 2-3 lbs

I agree. As long as the output is the same, I would say it's equal.
