Does this happen to anyone else...shopping related

It's kinda hard to describe but whenever I shop for button down shirts it's so hard to find ones that don't open between the buttons and show my bra/boobs! It's sooo annoying. Doesn't even matter if I go up a couple of sizes than what I really am...it still happens. Is it just me that his this problem??

I was going to tell you to get a bigger size but if that's not working what about a safety pin Chat Icon

There is no way I can wear one thats not at least 2 sizes bigger. Then overall it looks too big. So either I wear them unbuttoned with a tank top or not at all!

a friend of a friend of mine designs button down shirts for women that go by bra size to avoid this problem - I believe they sell them at nordstroms.

See that's exactly the problem...if you go up a couple of sizes the buttons might sit right, but then the rest of the shirt is too big and it makes me look fat. Bleh.

sometimes a shirt with stretch makes a difference. Try NY & Co - I rarely wear button downs because of the girls, but when I do, NY&CO fit the best. Also helps to wear a cami underneath.

I will get a b igger size, and sometimes use a safety pin, depending on how low the cut is.

I agree with shirts with stretch as well as shirts with bust darting (that way if you have to go up a size, the shirt still has a tailored look)

My recent problem with button down shirts is that the arms are really narrow (or maybe my arms got fatterChat Icon )

That happens to me too! The shirts that have darts or are cut to hug your waist and hips for some reason do it less that regular ones, def stretchy!

button down shirts never fit me right..either the arms are too tight or it opens in between the buttons. I stick to regular pull over shirts Chat Icon
